Jessica and her husband, Drew, have lived in District 89 for the last 8 years. They have two children (Austin 10 and Addison 8) at Briar Glen, and their daughter Dylan will begin kindergarten next year.  She has been actively involved at Briar Glen PTC events and classroom parties.  Jessica graduated from UIC with a Bachelor of the Arts degree, majoring in Psychology.  She then earned both an Ed.S (Educational Specialist in School Psychology) and a M.Ed (Educational and Psychological Foundations) degree from Valparaiso University upon completion of the School Psychology program.  Additionally, because she is a lifelong learner and supporting the mental health needs of others is important to her, she earned a Masters of the Arts (Counseling) degree from Northeastern Illinois University.

Jessica has worked in the role of school psychologist for the past 16 years and has experience at the elementary and secondary levels. She currently supports an elementary school in West Aurora School District 129.  In her role of school psychologist, she supports the social emotional learning and academic progress of her students.  Through analyzing school wide and individual student data, she helps grade level teams and individual teachers determine the appropriate interventions that will support academic and social/emotional growth and success.  She has extensive knowledge of general education and special education, and is an advocate for supporting the needs of ALL students to ensure their success.
